Let me help you get the best from the sale of your home by being hands on from beginning to end

A little bit about me and my desire to get the best results for my clients

My experience in the west country property market
and my motivation to get the best results for my clients

In 1986 I moved to North Devon looking for a new challenge having sold my retail business in Wiltshire. I joined an enthusiastic firm of Estate Agents in Barnstaple, I progressed with them as they expanded over the following 18 months. I then moved to a larger multi office agent with offices covering Devon and Cornwall. 3 years later I moved on to the region’s largest estate agent, where I worked for the next 9 years in Devon, Cornwall, Somerset and Dorset. During my time in agency I also qualified as a Financial Services intermediary. I worked with the most experienced property professionals in the region many of whom are principles in their own firms today. My role over the 13 years had been to advise on the sale and marketing of a diverse range of housing stock, ranging from studio apartments to rambling country estates.

Venturing out on my own,
The business concept was simple;
provide a better service for my clients at no extra cost

In early 1999 I felt it was time to branch out on my own once again, not as a traditional estate agent but as a Property Marketing Consultant. This new role allowed me to work with estate agents and not compete against them; I could offer truly impartial advice to my clients as to who would be best suited to market their property. I knew the estate agents and they knew me, I knew what clients needed and what the agents had to offer, we together would discuss which firm was most suitable for both my clients and their property.
Working with the estate agents was beneficial to all; the clients would get the best service without any extra cost, the estate agents would get the best qualified properties from committed vendors without having to compete for the instruction and I would be able to look after my clients wherever they were in the region, without me needing a localised office, I could draw on the best local services available as and when required.
The real winners were the clients, we achieved the highest possible sale prices, after receiving the best marketing available. The estate agents were happy with another sale and potentially more instructions, from both me and more new instructions off the back of a ‘SOLD’ board. I was happy with another satisfied client and more recommendations for future business.
The more discerning estate agents embraced my qualified instructions, as both the property and client were fully prepared for the market before the agents visit and invariable I had taken the photos and prepared a draft brochure for them. All the estate agents had to do was sell the property.
I have seen the ups and downs of the property market and continue to adapt to the needs of my clients whatever the market. I embrace the advancements in technology to help maximise the marketing of my client’s property; the Internet, advertising, digital photography, floor plans, PDF brochures, virtual tours, street view, satellite and drone photography plus the multitude of TV programs can all be used to our advantage.

The latest chapter could be referred to as ‘Full Circle’
I chose to diversify into direct marketing as property sales shifted strongly towards the Internet, using this medium I could provide the same if not an even better profile for my clients than traditional high street agents were offering

In more recent years I found I was providing more and more support to the agents by way of marketing and felt it was time to take full control for my client’s. The Internet had finally come of age with fewer buyers calling in to estate agents offices or using newspapers as the main resources in the search for a new home, it seemed the time was right to provide an exclusive service to my clients. By embracing the Internet for marketing and providing a very hands on personal service I could offer a service traditional estate agents could no longer provide, the business is streamlined and efficient. I am the point of contact between buyers and sellers throughout the sales and marketing process. With over 35 years experience of property sales, marketing and acquisitions in the West Country combined with premium coverage on the main property portals I can provide everything a client needs to sell their property for the best price.

I offer an unequalled service to all my clients from instruction to completion.

The business continues to thrive thanks to client recommendations.
